Retirement of Plumtree’s Parish Clerk

Mike Elliott, the clerk to Plumtree Parish Council and its responsible financial officer, will be retiring in September this year. He has looked after the council for many years and has been clerk to a number of other local Parish Councils including Normanton-on-the-Wolds, Stanton-on-the-Wolds and Widmerpool.
Mike was first appointed as a parish clerk in 1987 at Shelford and has worked with 17 Nottinghamshire parish councils. In 2017 he received an award for outstanding service from the Society of Local Council Clerks. The parish council is now looking for a replacement clerk.
