Plumtree Main Road/A606 Junction Roadworks
Monday 11th August – Friday 5th September
Representatives from Plumtree Parish Council, Trent Barton and Nottinghamshire County Council met to look at the upcoming junction improvement works/road closure on Main Road and how the impact for Plumtree residents can be minimised. As a result a modified Traffic Works Order has been issued.
Main Road will remain closed at the junction with the A606. There will be No Waiting, Loading or Unloading on either side of the road on Church Hill from the turning for Church Lane, past the Church to the traffic lights at the A606. The Order is in place Monday to Saturday. Waiting restrictions will be lifted on Sundays, although the signs will remain in place. Parking on Church Hill from Church Lane down to the double yellow lines at the bottom will be permitted throughout the roadworks.
The Keyworth bus will continue to run, travelling from Keyworth down Station Road, turning right up Church Hill past the Church and then turn left onto the A606. In order to prevent two buses having to potentially pass on Church Hill the return route will be different. The bus will bypass Plumtree and enter Keyworth via Platt Lane. Passengers returning to Plumtree will need to remain on the bus when it reaches Keyworth (at no extra charge) and get off in Plumtree as the bus heads back to Nottingham. The buses will not serve Plumtree on the Sundays.
