Rushcliffe is again to host the 2022 Tour of Britain cycle race, this time it's Stage 5 on Thursday 8 September. When the race last came through the Borough, in 2018, there were hundreds of people on the streets, both in Plumtree and in the Borough itself to cheer the 120 cyclists from all over the world on their way. The annual Nottinghamshire Best Kept Village competition for 2022 has been cancelled due, say the organisers, to the pandemic situation.
